I. AN INCOMING STORM
[Weaver]
With the tour of the exhibit completed, Tkáyo walks out of the museum onto the main square of the city of Çadmar, taking in the evening air. As the Sun slowly continues its descent in the west, Tkáyo gazes up at the sky at the great planetary Rings, noting that they were quickly being obscured to the east by dark clouds; there was no doubt going to be a storm on its way soon.

Wanting to keep the mechanical prosthetic strapped to his wrist safe from the elements, Tkáyo stuffs his hand into his coat pocket as he makes his way home, the rolling thunder inching ever closer.

He notices the pathways becoming increasingly dotted with falling raindrops as the light shower slowly transitions into a heavy rainfall. Knowing his coat will eventually soak through, he darts into a nearby alleyway, hoping the sidestreets will be safer.

As he runs between and behind buildings, taking whatever shelter he can, he is approached by a stranger who at first glance seems unwell: constantly muttering to themself in what appears to be an almost-incomprehensible dialect; but upon seeing Tkáyo they immediately give chase, with the rain growing into a full blown thunderstorm.

Tkáyo tries to run away the vagrant but quickly gets cornered, where it is revealed that all is not as it seems with this stranger: their eyes glowing a deep crimson, and an strange electric energy emanating from their hands.

The stranger then throws a stream of this strange energy at Tkáyo, who instinctively brings his hands up to cover himself, exposing the metal of his prosthesis to the storm. At that moment, a large lightning bolt strikes the exact spot of where Tkáyo stands, just as the stranger’s own electricity is also about to make contact; the combination of the two causes Tkáyo to disappear from the alleyway completely, as the stranger collapses onto the floor.
