VOID is about acknowledgement of fear: I won't pretend that I have anxieties in my life; but at the same time, while I may be able to hear what they say, that doesn't mean I have to listen. In addition, one has to balance and even rewrite their words. There is a difference between "acknowledging" and "accepting", and knowing that there is a problem is always first step to solving it, no matter how long it takes.
lyrics
[Intro]
All will be destroyed, fall into the void
[Verse 1]
...You're finally here where this battle begins
I can smell your fear as I bear my teeth
I play to kill so against your will
I will drag you down to the underneath
Your fate has been sealed, optimism killed
My destiny will fulfil as I bury you
You've met your match, so wave your white flag
There is no escape from my absolute
[Verse 2]
I hear their whispers in my brain
I slowly start turning insane
As every doubt I've faced all surround me
A labyrinth inside my mind
With all dead ends, nowhere to hide
And every demon dormant overwhelm me
[Pre-Chorus 1]
(And build this mental catacomb...)
You will never move when there's everything to lose — play
[Chorus]
But just because I hear you
Doesn't mean I'm listening
(Surrender your mind, soon you will be mine)
Within your realm of chaos
There emerges entropy
(All will be destroyed, fall into the void)
[Verse 3]
Can you look through my eyes, choking you from inside
You'll believe my lies as I wear down you
Your fears will ignite, hypochondria thrives
Batten down the hatches as you run on fumes
This story's been told, it's written in stone
There's nowhere to go, it's your destiny
So pick your poison, strain your voice
There's no other choice, so just bathe in me
[Verse 4]
And as the pressure starts to rise
I hope to god I'll realise
There is no prize to an overreaction
To counteract the black with white:
With every shadow there is light
We must remember that there's always balance
[Pre-Chorus 2]
(And so I'll rewrite everything...)
You'll never be King when there is nothing to win — play
{rpt Chorus}
((And just because I hear you))
[Bridge]
(I will bring you down with me)
I'm hearing what you're saying
I'll never pay attention
(I am everything you need)
I'll break out of your shackles
I'm gonna win this battle
[Pre-Chorus 3]
(I'll never run away...)
It's your to turn to play, so which move (are) you gonna make — Play
